Project INGA underwent an extended training exercise from 8 April to 18 June of this year. Utilising information and data from various sources, INGA and her sister algorithms simulated the impact of fourteen hypothetical economic initiatives in a Southeast Asian nation under multiple scenarios, assessed the most likely outcomes and identified gaps in the various analyses. A fifteenth hypothesis was subsequently developed as an additional economic policy idea.
“Further to the success of alpha testing for SOFIA last year, we wanted to assess the capabilities of all six algorithms in Project INGA when put to work collaboratively,” said J.R. Abdullah, Principal Strategist at Pawana Associates.
J.R. added: “The fundamental functionalities and integrations worked almost perfectly; I say ‘almost’ because NADIA still stumbled over a small proportion of content that was published in non-latin script. That is something we need to continue working on. Apart from that, the six sisters accomplished their training objectives. I am particularly pleased they were able to know what they did not know; that gap analysis formed the basis of a hypothetical economic initiative which we have labelled as the Mompracem Plan.”
A selection of results from the various simulations and analyses derived by Project INGA, all fourteen hypothetical economic initiatives that were tested and the Mompracem Plan will be incorporated into an e-book scheduled for release in September 2024.
“Overall, I would describe the outcome of Operation Mompracem as ‘mission accomplished’ and we also gained valuable insights for the continuing development journey of Project INGA. I am looking forward to another extended exercise at the start of 2025; we will use a more advanced European economy as the training scenario,” J.R. said to conclude the briefing.
